FAQs
Why should I access online counselling?
Online counselling can be a really helpful and easy way to get support. You don’t have to travel anywhere and can access sessions from home, work or wherever you feel comfortable. Without travel time you can fit sessions around your schedule, with many clients choosing to have sessions during their lunch break or while their children are sleeping.
How long does each session last?
Sessions last 50 minutes. I see some clients weekly and some fortnightly, you choose how often you would like sessions.
How many sessions will I need?
That really depends on you and what you’d like to work on. Some people come for a few sessions, while others benefit from longer-term support. We can review this regularly and make sure the sessions continue to meet your needs.
Is everything I say confidential?
Yes – your sessions are confidential. I provide a safe, non-judgemental space where you can talk openly. The only exceptions are if there’s a risk of serious harm to you or someone else, or if I’m legally required to share information. I’ll always explain this in more detail during our first session.
How much do sessions cost?
Sessions cost £40.
What if I’m not sure counselling is right for me?
I offer a free 15-minute introductory call so we can chat, and you can ask any questions before deciding if you’d like to book a session.
I've had counselling before and didn't find it beneficial. Does this mean counselling will never work for me?
There may be a number of reasons for why you haven't found counselling helpful in the past. Finding the right counsellor matters and also being at a time in your life where you are ready to be open. Don't let a bad experience stop you from accessing the support you deserve.
